"We have been in the same business in the same location for over 40 years" says Jimmy Austin, owner of the quaint seafood market. Jim, a true native of the Outer Banks, is proud to inform you that Austin's is one of the oldest seafood markets on the Outer Banks.
Jimmy was a commercial fisherman on the beach for years before he started his seafood business. "I've been in the seafood business all my life" remarks Jim, "and have served the east coast of the United States from South Florida to New England." Together with wife Sandra and daughter Debbie, the Austin's have proven for years that Austin's offers the freshest seafood available anywhere!
FRESHNESS GUARANTEE: All our seafood is caught fresh daily so you get "fresh from the net" quality. Austin's is HAACCP approved and compliant. The FDA and local North Carolina Department of Health regulate our operation on a routine basis. Seafood is inspected regularly to ensure proper handling, storage, packaging and shipping methods and procedures are followed.
Austin's is only open seasonally, and closes for the 2010 year on October 31, 2010. But they'll be opening again next year sometime before Easter. Always a locals favorite for fresh seafood.
