Daily Catch:
Rob fishes out of Hatteras for spanish mackerel, bluefish, gray trout, croaker, spiny dogfish, striped bass, and other species with gillnets in the Atlantic Ocean. He also trolls for king mackerel in the fall and winter months. His boat, the Lucy B., was built in 1980 by Mike Scott in Buxton and was patterned after older, deep deadrise boats on the island and designed for fuel efficiency. Rob is a first-generation commercial fisherman who also enjoys surfing.
