The 20th anniversary of the Fisheries Reform Act is this year and the Outer Banks Catch will host an anniversary summit 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the convention center in Washington.
There will be four panels comprised of some who worked on developing the recommendations that are the basis for the act. Others will be those who worked with implementing the act or participated in some way.
The panels will address why was the act needed, how was it developed, how was it implemented, and now, 20 years later, is it still standing the test of time or does it need tweaking.
Coffee, donuts, & lunch are provided.
